Wake him up conventional
A new story begins and it begins with a visual reference designed to tantalise the mind. The whole issue is up as a PDF on my Patreon for $3+ subscribers and rather than the normal 22 pages of story, there are 23 because “someone” had to cut a page in half and make it into two pages and that page was this page. Value!
That sounds like a very… special… breakfast.
What, no wheatcakes? But he’s a growing Reverend!
You see what I am up to!
Rather dissapointed in Mrs. Clovis for not going for peanut paste instead.
Maggie! David! Ma… er, Mrs Clovis! (Somehow, I think if I called her by her first name, she clobber me with a cudgel. Or, worse, give me a DISAPPROVING LOOK. Which she’d probably do anyway, but, still…) It’s so good to see you all again!
Oh, and I almost forgot: TIBKINS!!!
TIBKINS DEPLOYED; INITIATING BOBBIN TIME
A reminder to all that Maggie’s lounging clothes bear the mascot of Partick Thistle FC, not Tibkins.
We’ve discussed this before, I didn’t want to draw Kingsley without permission so he was swapped for Tibkins after Shelley’s first visit.
I must have read the comments that day before you posted about this.
And we’re back in Tredregyn and already off to a good start! Great to see Maggie and Mrs. Clovis getting along and Maggie rocking the Tibkins jumper. Also glad to see Rev. Penrose greeting the day with his typical grim fatalistic outlook.
How did she rouse him last time? Do we have to pay extra to see that panel? xD
Well she seems to be zipping *up* her onesie for the conventional version
But not too far, because then her cleavage wouldn’t be able to see.
Bucket of cold water perhaps.
Wake me up however you like, Maggie. Just remember some ways take longer than others.
“Today is the day” is one of the worst phrase to say for wake up someone. Still can’t wait to see what day is today. Nice to see Maggie have gardening satisfactions.
That first panel – it’s like I’m flying.
Looking at the “Still to come” section, the title for 30 June has such an intriguingly under-the-counter Victorian flavour that I trust it will be nothing of the sort. (Sigh.)
Ooh, I finally made the trip to Cornwall from Scotland in the Easter holidays last month, so reading Steeple has a new familiarity for me now. Looking forward to this one, thanks John!
Aw, Mrs. C called Maggie “love”! They really have grown.
Mrs Clovis was already calling Maggie “Love” way back. https://steeple.church/comic/ruddy-tunnels/
Anyone else wondering what Maggie’s concept of “unconventional” is like?
