I watched an episode of Wycliffe as research for these Clotted Crimes comics and the director was a “Ferdinand Fairfax”. He’s no longer with us, but in Steeple he lives on. I’m not sure what kind of pineapple drama Billie and Maggie are pantomiming in panel 2 but it looks like they are giving the production its money’s-worth. — COLOURS BY SAMMY BORRAS
