That’s the Sentai way, I think!
A comical mismatch. Who’da THONK it? &c. UPDATE: Someone (Joe King) in the comments asked me where “Secret Sentai” came from, was it a pun first or a story idea. I wrote the name on the same page as the sketch below from February.
Of course it is! The man needs his buckle!
Unfortunately, getting your butt kicked for the first 17 minutes out of every 22-minute episode is *also* the sentai way.
You have to be well near dusted before you get your second wind – and with guts and effort – you overcome the long odds!
But someone get this lad his buckle….
Ooh, not a good start for the first round!
Sentai: 0
Eldrich: 1
Thonk!
Sentai sawed them♡. A true hero!
Could be worse. Tully monster could have struck with his mouth open and devoured him on the spot.
John, I’m curious about something. In creating this story, which came first — the title or the idea of a sentai showing up in Tredregyn?
I’m guessing the title — it’s such a great play on the Christmas theme!
It was title first… I doodled a little picture of Billie, Irish dancing with a Sentai-like figure, and wrote “Secret Sentai” somewhere else on the page. I can’t post a picture in a reply so I’ll put it in today’s under-comic post.
Ha! That’s fantastic!
Thanks for the insight into your fertile mind. I really appreciate you coming here and interacting wih us.
Now *that’s* gotta hurt!
If this monster joined a Seattle indie pop/rock group, that would make it a Tullycraft Monster. Twee!
