Powerful lunge
Comics Mon-Thu this week. Not much is known of Jason beyond his appearance in flashback in Steeple issue 3 (available Volume 1). Billie inherited his yellow waterproof in the very first issue, so every Steeple story features a little bit of Jason. Perhaps this tale will tell us more about him.
I have questions about that retractable eye
That ink gland looks like it would be the downfall of many an unsuspecting church lad.
“Ink non-toxic”, though?
Indirect downfall. The ire of Mrs C that the ink stains provoked would be the proximate cause
I wonder if orb hominids are full of flovinoids.
Jason looked quiet and reasonable, now he becomes also a kind of researcher. A priest without a family who loved science and probably fell during his studies, possibly right in front of Penrose’s eyes… Penrose’s burden becomes heavier and heavier. He really needs more joy in his life.
Flovoids are susceptible to vacuum cleaners as well. Should note that down.
Today is full of nostalgia.
Unfortunately for Jason, Billie was the one discovering it and not him.
Flovoid… Flovorr… Hmm…
Batman had a Jason, too.
Yeah, this is a great nod to The Dark Knight Returns. Allison for the win, again.
Anyone have a page number for that flashback? I have volume 1 on comixology but I don’t recall that scene at all
Never mind, found ‘im on page 56
The first page of Issue #3, if you don’t have the collected Volume 1.
(I assumed Jason was the urchin in the sketch, so I flipped past him several times.)
Did Mrs Clovis carry that box into the study at the beginning of their meeting without the Reverend noticing? Or has it just been sitting in a corner all along?
Yes.
Did Sir Michael 1979 on Twitter train you in how to respond to questions?
David?!
Is Magus Tom a Bowie reference? I felt there was some resonance to his name, but I hadn’t worked out what until I woke up with that in my head this morning. Nice one.
Tredregyn mothers saying “to get things done, you’d better not mess with Magus Tom” seems to make sense
Castle Pendennis? Tom is named after a notable Wales fortification?
Magus Tom seems unlike Thackeray’s novel “Pendennis” whose character is named Arthur but is a wanker like Tom.

*sigh* It’s references like this that make me want to spend money on Vol1…
Consider it an investment in the pursuit of knowledge.
Poor bloody Jason, whose fate appears to be given away in the site banner.
