Normally you can’t shut him up!
Poor, bashful Brian, a man of many sides. Sharp-eyed readers (and Patreon subscribers) may recognise a red-trousered figure from “Cattywampus” in today’s comic. Let’s hope he’s just passing through. Shelley’s sweater is based on a real garment, though I’m not sure where you’d find it…
I love Shelley’s sweater.
Me too. Shelley can always rock a sweater but this may be her best
I’ve dug out a photo of the original garment and stuck it in the comic post.
Is this comic taking place around Halloween, or does Shelley just like the sweater?
That’s just Shelley Style™
Considering that she comes from a town rife with all sorts of supernatural goings-on, it makes sense. A Tacklefordian wearing ghosts on her shirt may as well be any of us wearing one with birds and squirrels.
D was a real page turner, but as a series finale AY was a bit of a disappointment.
I thought T was an excellent opener. Left many options for how the next installments could go, without being too wishy washy.
For my money, you couldn’t beat the twist in XT.
I eagerly await the next series, with the first book, titled “ME”, already well on it’s way to publication. I am told the author already has rough outlines written for additional volumes “AN” and “W”. Beyond that, we shall see.
The Tredregyn Bookseller’s balcony level is astonishingly vertigo-inducing. Never had this perspective on a series of tottering bookshelves before. My compliments to the architect of that place.
Question: Does Shelley illustrate Tibkin too, or does she just do the writing?
Let me have a think about this. Shelley doesn’t draw it. I have a few ideas about who does.
I hope they don’t do it with the magic pencil from The Case of the Good Boy.
They must have, where else do you think the Tibkins next to her came from?
Merchandising is where the real money is. At least until Tibkins: The Movie comes out. I hear Tom Cruise has ‘shown interest’.
As…as tibkins?
“Tibkins Go Beat.”

That was … interesting. With Ginger Baker!
It’s animated. Tom wants to do the mo-cap.
Came here to say that a lack of real life Tibkins merch is just leaving money on the table.
After all, Opus started out as a nonsense character. Berk Breathed probably built a castle when THAT ship cashed in.
I have an Opus (bought in 1989). It is my proudest possession.
Awwww… Kids (and Brian) looks so happy to meet their favorite author ♡. Shelley must feel so happy to bring all this joy.♡. I really love how Brian looks totally in love and Tom is making fun of him. Just can’t understand what Tom’s plan is. Incredibile compositions of the page.
This is surely going to be like the thing you shouldn’t invite a vampire into your house. Something in that dedication is going to lead to A Bad Thing Happening and it’s going to be All Shelley’s Fault.
Looks to me like it’s Tom’s plan and he’s bullying a reluctant Brian into helping enact it.
That’s better than the actual plot of this story.
Brian don’t seems reluctant to me. Just very excited♡.
I don’t think Brian’s admiration is for her writing talent. She could write nothing but bathroom stall limericks and bad checks and he’d still look that way. As a limerick writer he’d probably be more familiar with her work….
There once was a warlock named Brian,

There’s at least one of those sweaters on Poshmark: https://posh.mk/jdPiBdWFGfb
Post updated Jan 21st and the price used to be 0 USD and is now 49 USD? I smell insider trading! Better get the SEC involved toot sweet.
The lady selling it also bears an uncanny resemblance to Shelley: https://di2ponv0v5otw.cloudfront.net/posts/2020/11/10/5faaa2eb2ca9ab93ab3b4931/m_5faaa36f463d4f2280c0f382.jpg
Hmmmmm…
I fear her almost as much as I fear Shelly. When the world goes “POP!” I presume they will be somewhere in the vicinity of the big red button.
Is it usual to get a book signed to your deity? Feels a bit like you might think you were yourself that deity.
e.g. ‘To God, have a lovely day, shelley’
I just had Brian say what everyone says to me when they get a Giant Days signed.
Me after reading your comment: “Aaaaww… what a cute thing ♡!” Me after rereading Brian’s request to Shelley:”Wait, what?”
Shelley is a master of colour coordination. Those red shoes!
She’s still classy.
And of course, this being Tredregyn, there’s an inverted pentacle on display at the bookshop. I wonder what their “mind body and spirit” section looks like?
“Small world. My sister used to BE your cloven-hoofed master. Sort of.”
????????????
To be fair, it wouldn’t have been too far of a stretch for Shelley to have referred to her little sister as the devil incarnate even prior to Erin’s styling herself after Mordawwa.
By the way… we know Erin was inspired by the Mordawwa comic, but do we know one way or another whether the comic was based on her real-life adventures (via time travel shenanigans, e.g.)?
My head hurts.
Let me put it this way: the author of the story wishes he’d never gone down that particular
alleyway. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It’s like a knotted headphone cord.
So it is inevitable, is what you are saying
I could not resist buying that sweater! Shipping and tax raised the price another $10 also! Yikes! The things a girl buys to feel close to a favorite webcomic and writer/artist. Thank you for pointing it out, j5industries.
